The Weston Foundation is a private non-profit organization dedicated to supporting charitable causes. It was founded in 2007 by Chicago-based businessman R. L. Weston and is comprised of a small governing board that desingates over 50 grants each year to select institutions, individuals, and projects; grants typically range from $500 to $10,000. In the past, projects have served a broad range of social, medical, educational and humanitarian endeavors of both local and international interest. We differ from corporate and large public foundations in that our members are able to spend a substantial amount of time researching and working on their projects. Therefore our resources can contribute to efforts of individuals and organizations that are sometimes overlooked by larger foundations. This website was made in order to aid in our communication with potential grant recipients, as well as document some of the projects we have been involved in over the last several years.
